My part in it:

Me and Carolina Búzio were asked to do a video ad for our friends at Portmanteau to promote their iPhone app. We filmed it, edited it and are now in post production stage, nearing release. The application is available right now and it is great, though!

A website for the promotion of industrial tourism in São João da Madeira, Portugal. The website has information on the city, its major industries and other touristic attractions, and also delivers a route planning service.

I helped conceive the structure for the whole website and was responsible for implementing the frontend, working closely with our designers at GEMA in the matters of aspect and usability.

A touch-based application for the promotion of industrial tourism in São João da Madeira, Portugal

My part in it:

I finished the implementation of the application, mostly in regards to content, minor visual interface problems and the use of Phidgets as interaction devices: people could use the application either by touching the screen and by moving objects placed beside the screen, that would switch menus and show different content.

Cristal Ball - Boehringer-Lilly Trajenta

What:

A touch-based application that attempted to predict the user's fate, depending on age and gender.

My part in it:

This was a very simple touch application built in Flash, that ran on 40" screens. The users were prompted to insert their name, age and gender and then would ask the Oracle some questions, that would be answered based on their previous input. I built it from scratch in Flash.

Prébuild 3D cube

Where:

Batimat - Construction Expo, France

What:

An iPad application to show different building materials applied in a room. The user would navigate the 3D room and change the materials of key elements in the environment, such as floor tiles, doors, windows, etc. When using the application, the interaction was being replicated in a big screen, for better visalization.

My part in it:

I built the interface and functionality of the iPad app, while a colleage developed the Unity interface that changed the materials and fed the app with every new frame.

Jogo das Diferenças
Shopping Cidade do Porto

A touch-based game of finding the differences that ran on Windows 7 tablets, to promote a mall in Porto.

My part in it:

I implemented the game mechanic and the participant registration system. Users would insert personal data and assert if they wished to receive a newsletter, after playing the game, the application would give them a prize. The system included a simple web-based server for managing prize quantity and probability, as well as an easy way to print out the list of participants, at the end of the day.

Built upon the OpenCart framework, I implemented the design and functionalities that the client wished. The framework had to be slightly tweaked to adjust to the structure of the website, both in the front and on the backoffice section, for content management.

An iPad application to show the products of a construction materials company.

My part in it:

I programmed the application in Flash/AIR and ported it to iOS so it ran on iPad. The users were able to navigate through the content and watch some videos as well. The choice of technology was based both on time constraints and on the fact that the app needed to be replicated on a 40" screen.

A very successful online shoe store from a spanish shoe designer. I assisted the final stage of development of this website by implementing part of the front-end and correcting most of the design. It has since suffered some changes.

A touch-screen application to show the catalog of a survivalist and military store.

My part in it:

This was an adaptation of a previous application, that displayed the products sold at the store. It allowed users to filter by category and brand, and updated wirelessly whenever the client added a new product on the website.

MSD Interactive Wall

What:

A touch enabled wall application that displayed information about the treatment of asthma and other respiratory deseases. It sported slideshows, texts and a quiz game.

I implemented the slideshows and part of the quiz mechanic, while providing assistance to other parts of the development and doing final testing.
